UK-based Autonnic Research Ltd, is known as a world leader in the manufacture of fluxgate magnetometers for the marine navigation market. Its reputation has been built on an unrivalled understanding of the technology itself, a highly experienced workforce and a commitment to quality, reliability and engineering support for the markets it supplies.

In addition to the manufacture of fluxgate components for use by marine navigation systems OEMs, the company diversified into integrated products for related markets - compass modules and wind speed and direction units - a number of years ago.

More recently this diversification has moved out of the marine and related markets with products aimed at industrial, medical, automotive, environmental, consumer and other market sectors.

Developing these new, innovative modules for a wide variety of measurement and sensing applications saw the establishment in 2005 of Fluxgate World - the specialist subsystems division of Autonnic.

The modules from Fluxgate World build on the in-house expertise of the basic fluxgate technology and manufacturing know-how. Adding control hardware and software, design integration and industrial design has resulted in a range of products available for incorporation into all manner of sensing and measurement applications. Current modules sense angular position, pan, tilt and direction, flow speed and direction in addition to the previous magnetic direction (compass module)

In addition to the basic modules, Fluxgate World offers engineering support and further development to OEMs wishing to integrate the units into their own systems and end user products.

Fluxgate World continues to develop modules based around fluxgate technology that will lead to new, reliable, robust sensor and measurement subsystems for all markets.
